NHL Scouting Combine Has WHL Flavour...


The list of 100 players invited to the annual NHL Scouting Combine has been released. The festivities, which include workouts and interviews for NHL prospects, run from May 24 to May 29.

A total of 14 WHL teams will be represented. Portland leads the way with four invitees, all of whom are expected to be back with the Winterhawks next season. The Moose Jaw Warriors have three invitees and a host of teams are sending a pair of players to the Combine.

There are 10 forwards invited, along with four goaltenders and eight defencemen.
